Gustav, 7th Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Prince of Denmark (Gustav Frederik Philip Richard; born 12 January 1969), is the eldest child and only son of the late Richard, 6th Prince of Sayn Wittgenstein berleburg and Princess Benedikte of Denmark.

As of 13 March 2017, Gustav is the Head of the House of Sayn-Wittgenstein-berleburg upon the death of his father, Richard, 6th Prince of Sayn Wittgenstein berleburg.

Early Life Edit

Prince Gustav was born 12 January 1969 at Berleburg Castle, Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany. As the first child and only son of Richard, 6th Prince of Sayn Wittgenstein berleburg and Princess Benedikte of Denmark. His father was the eldest child and son of the late Gustav Albercht, 5th Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-berleburg and Margaretha, Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-berleburg. His mother was the second child and daughter of Frederik IX of Denmark and Ingrid of Sweden.
