The bride, Elisabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein is the only child of the Italian film producer Nobile Ettore Rosboch von Wolkenstein and his wife, Countess Lilia de Smecchia, is also film producer. Since 2009, Elisabetta has worked in the cultural section of Bloomberg News.
The bridesmaids were Princess Elisabeth (eldest daughter of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde and goddaughter of Prince Amedeo), Princess Louise (daughter of Prince Laurent and Princess Claire, cousin of Prince Amedeo) and Princess Laetitia Maria (daughter of Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz, younger sister of Prince Amedeo).
The couple had been dating for seven years before they became engaged on 15 February 2014.
Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este is the eldest child of Prince Lorenz and Princess Astrid of Belgium, the Archduke and duchess of Austria-Este. He is currently sixth in line to the Belgian throne following his cousins and his mother in the line of succession. He is also fifth in line to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which was abolished in 1918. He is heir to the headship of the House of Austria-Este. Prince Amedeo was educated at the British Military Academy and the London School of Economics, but moved to New York to work as an analyst in Deloitte shortly after graduating.
Elisabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein is the only child of Italian film producers, Nobile Ettore Rosboch von Wolkenstein and Countess Lilia de Smecchia. Elisabetta studied in London at the Queen Mary University where she gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature and film. Since 2009, Elisabetta has worked in the cultural section of Bloomberg News. As in Belgian tradition, the wedding took place in the hometown of the bride, which in this case was Rome.
On 15 February 2014, Prince Amedeo proposed to his girlfriend of seven years, Elisabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein. The next day it was announced to the press at Villa Schonenberg in Brussels, Belgium.
The wedding took place in Basilica of Santa Maria in Rome, Italy, the hometown of the bride as in Christian tradition. The couple chose the church themselves and it is one of the oldest in Rome.
The wedding service began at 5:30 pm local time and lasted two hours.
The breathtaking ivory bridal dress with intricate lace detail was designed by the Italian fashion designer, Valentino Garavani, and was from the collection Haute Couture. The bride also wore Queen Elisabeth’s Diamond Bandeau, a tiara worn by Queen Mathilde of Belgium on her wedding day.

Title upon marriage
After marrying Prince Amedeo, Elisabetta was automatically granted the style Her Imperial and Royal Highness and the titles Princess of Belgium and Archduchess of Austria-Este.
The wedding was a private affair and was not broadcast on television, although, a series of official images were released by the Belgian Royal Family.
